Do not use this company!!! I had a horrible experience with with these guys. They brokered a company called Deluxe and to make a long story very brief, they lost 7 of my boxes. How you manage to do that is beyond my comprehension. If you speak to someone named Anthony and he says he'll make sure you have a good experience as he said to me, don't you believe him. He is a deceitful man. I tried reaching out to him when I found out my boxes were missing and and didn't want to hear it or help me. No one there wanted to help me. It's all pretense when they tell you they will help you in the process but when all is said and done and once they have their money, they don't care about the customer. Quite frankly it astonishes me that this company still remains in business and the moving industry doesn't take action against them. Months later I still don't have my boxes and no one has yet to help me. What a disappointment in humanity.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $3155

Our change finally arrived this week. unfortunately I have to inform you that you did not deliver what you promised when you offered your service.

First of all they picked up 06/13 (2 days after) and delivered 07/07 (was only 15 days to delivery).

Second, You informed from the beginning that it was a family business, that you would withdraw and deliver our move, in same truck. That's not what happened, it’s no true.

Furthermore, he said that I would pay only for the space I used in the truck. And I guarantee for you that we reduced our things a lot so that the cubage would be smaller, but I didn't get any reduction.

In addition, I paid to transport my queen size bed and SPRING mattress and it arrived at the destination FOLDED IN HALF! It is obvious that this item could not be folded!!

We talked to the driver / delivery man and he said that our change was in the already folded storage.

Conclusion, you ruined my mattress, it is completely crooked and I want to make amends for it.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2640

Horizon Van Lines price was better than the other quotes that I got from other moving companies. Our coordinator was really good. He got pretty close based on what I told him The final cost changed just a little bit. It was only by $130 . The crew that picked up and delivered my items were both really good. The movers that picked up everything also packed for me, and they were really efficient, and they got it done quickly. They were also very friendly. They did a really good job. And the people who delivered them were really quick and efficient as well. I unpacked everything and from what I’ve seen, there was no damage. I really like Horizon Van Lines. the account manager that I talked to was great, kept in touch with me, and let me know what was going on.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4250

We moved from California to Virginia. Not told when contracting with Will that he was a broker. He set us up with Leadership Logistics, a company that gets solid one-star reviews across most platforms. Many damages, four boxes lost, and almost no follow up. Any time I was able to establish contact with someone from the company, the second or third time I would reach out to them, the phone number or email address would no longer be valid. At this point, calls and emails are now disappearing into a void. Move was in August, it is now November.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $4273

After getting about 15 calls from every mover in the country Horizon Van Lines sent me a simple text message. which I appreciated with a ballpark range for what my move may cost. they weren't the cheapest but weren't expensive either. They kept me updated constantly because I was a nervous wreck as I've never done this before and didn't want to get taken for. They even sent over someone to make sure our estimate was accurate. On move day I saved a couple hundred because they over estimated the box count so I tipped the crew more and got pizza and wings. Fantastic job guys!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3678

Isreal, Johnny and Bobby were our movers packing us up to leave California and relocate to New York. They were all very professional and worked rather fast! Johnny was a pro at packing everything! Honestly I thought he was the man in charge, running the show, he seemed to know so much. He answered all my silly questions and was very nice. Bobby worked quickly and efficiently and was very polite. Isreal was great, you could tell this wasn’t his first rodeo. He was everywhere he needed to be, moved quick, and was very patient with all of our concerns! They went the extra mile to figure out how to get our sleeper sofa downstairs which was not an easy task. They didn’t even complain when my wife accidentally got them the “lite Gatorade” :) overall, a great packing experience with very few bumps.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3800

We are an experienced family who has moved quite a bit, since my wife is in the military, we have gotten used to the whole ordeal of moving every few years. So knowing the ins and out, unfortunately due to a few bad experiences with the military moves we've had in the past, we know what to look for in a mover. And finding Horizon Van Lines to do our move from Spokane,Washington to Columbus,Ohio, it went about as good as a move good go. All things considered, after we reserved with them, which was about 2 months out,(Highly recommend to allow some time) they were in constant contact with us, with any updates, hounding us over the inventory items, making sure it was accurate as possible so nothing would change. We pride ourselves on having done so many moves, so we like to do the packing and wrapping of all our furniture, the movers (Jacob,Issac and Tony) even complimented us on it, my wife wouldn't let me live that done! If I had one gripe, it would be the delivery timeframe, but I understand things happen, it took about 11 days for us to receive it, not the end of the world, I guess. And one minor dent on the side of the washer, good thing that'll go against the wall where you can see it. We will call these guys again when they station us elsewhere.

So my family and I were looking to move over the summer, don’t! It’s way to hectic and pricey. So we waited till holiday break so the kids were off school and it was less expensive for us. Was called probably by 20 movers, so I put my phone on silent for a few days. Figure if one called me days later they truly wanted to earn my business. So I got a call from Jessica, she was wonderful from start to finish I tell ya. Took me about 2 weeks to finally commit to HVL. She was patient with my questions and any worries I had. Moving my family cross country is no easy task. Hope you never have to, especially if you worry like I do! But if you must, these guys did great from the the initial call till the final piece of furniture moved. Only gripe I had, since it was over the holiday and weather a bit tricky, it took about 16 days to get our stuff. Fairly priced in my opinion. Thanks for taking care of our stuff! Much success HVL.

I'd like to thank the Horizon Van Lines team for a great long distance moving experience. I was very careful which company I'd use to move my things from Florida to New Mexico, so I took my time researching Florida companies. I was fortunate enough to find Horizon Van Lines, which offered excellent customer service, answering my many questions, and the driver who delivered my items was on time, courteous and patiently reassembled my furniture. The original crew that packed my furniture did a great job as well, wrapping the expensive pieces in blankets that resulted in very few blemishes. Honestly, with all that I had, there was only one broken china cup and one area on a table that was slightly marred by packing tape. That's it! I am a very happy camper and strongly recommend this company to anyone making a move. Trust is the name of the game when it comes to choosing a moving company, and I trust this one 100%! Happy moving!

Moving from Florida to North Carolina $2,243 2 bedroom

I told John and Fernando(the actual men who moved and packed my home) that if they did a good job with my family's stuff that would I would leave them a glowing review. They told me that I had nothing to worry about, it turns out they were right. Having 2 kids and a dog to worry about I didn't have much energy to pack anything, but they did cut me a break on the packing cost. Dealing with Horizon from start to finish and the crew they sent out treated my stuff with care. Moving from Florida to North Carolina, thankfully didn't take long. I got my stuff within a week and nothing was broken. I was taken back to be honest, after all the horror stories I've heard over the years. But I'm glad I came across these guys. Just recommended them to my brother in law as well so he can have a good experience like I did. Kudos

I spoke with several companies and after getting more quotes then I knew what to do with I decided on Horizon Van Lines specifically because the guys I worked with know this business and explained to me in laments terms how everything really works. Not the cheapest nor the most expensive but just right. On move day I was a nervous wreck but I gotta say everything went super smooth. You definitely get what you pay for with these guys, my wife and I were very impressed, especially since our bill was prorated down and we saved an additional $275 which we in turn just tipped the crew. Next day delivery! From FL-NC (Charlotte) nothing moved in the truck in was tied down really good and I chose to wait a month to write a review to see if we found anything missing or broken, but we haven't. While planing a long distance move with children is always especially difficult, horizon van lines did everything in their power to make this transition into our new life seamless. So I want to go from phase one to phase four of our long distance move

Phase one: the reservation.
Now I am a natural born skeptic, I am always weary of making any major decisions right on the spot. So god bless my move coordinator, who took what felt like all the time in the world to make me feel comfortable. We went over the original inventory. They quoted me the first price. He sent me out the estimate and I thought about it for about a week. Discussing with my husband and family members. All the while my coordinator touched base with me every so often to ensure I didn’t have any questions. After about the week of consideration I called back in and redid my inventory. Have I said how amazing my coordinator was? Took just as much time doing the second inventory as the first. My decision to use this company was based off of my coordinators time and Effort making me comfortable. I decided to proceed with horizon van lines


Phase two: quality assurance.
I received a call about my final inventory about ten days prior to my move date. Once again we did a whole new inventory. I wound up needing an exclusive truck. Not exactly what I wanted to hear but I appreciated the honest approach. As I have received 3 other quotes with different estimates of cubic footage and weight. Horizons was the highest estimate by about 500 cubic feet. While I stated earlier, I wasn’t happy at first. But in move day I was ecstatic!

Phase three: pick up
As I Mentioned earlier I am a huge skeptic. So I tossed and turned all night before pick up. Not sure what to expect, as I unfortunately googled horror story’s about long distance moving.. needless to say I became a believer by the impeccable service from horizon van lines. Knowing that I needed and exclusive truck they sent 6 crew members to pack and wrap all of my belongings and furniture. Upon seeing the truck fully loaded and now realizing those other quotes were trying to lure me in to their service by giving me a way underestimated bid, there for a way underestimate price. I fully understood the horror stories of other companies.

Phase four: delivery
When making my reservation I was informed because of the distance of my relocation that it could possibly be 21 days. Again, something I wasn’t thrilled about thinking of all the things I would need to make my children comfortable for 21 days. I respected their honesty. Same trip other companies told be 10 days max. I would have been up a creek with out a paddle had I chosen them!! Now because of my exclusive truck delivery happened in 12 days. As I watch the workers diligently unload my life I fully expected to have MANY damaged items..again other reviews I’ve read about the moving industry. I was pleasantly surprised to find only a couple of scratches on my dining room table. I totally understand moving such a long distance things happen. So if that was the worst of it I’ll take it. They unpacked all my boxes and put everything back together. While the packing and unpacking were an additional expense it was an expense well worth it. I will be recommending all of my family and friends to this company! Forever thankful for this experience. You’ve turned a skeptic into a believer.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $15500

Annoyed by all the calls when I put my info online I was turned off originally from using any mover. These guys weren’t invasive so I heard them out. Will, was very thorough from start to finish, quite annoying about the inventory but even offered to send somebody out to gauge a better feel for the move. Simple process throughout due to the guy coming to our home checking out the items. We have a 3 bedroom so better to be safe than sorry. Leaving Colorado for Florida I wanted to make sure I was going with the right company. I’d used them again if I do actually ever move again. Make sure you tell them everything and be realistic though, we packed for 10 days just in case we were without our things that long. I read so many reviews so I knew what to prepare for. Now back to my sunshine and waves.

I’ve always been told to move outside of the summer because it cost less, relocating back home to Florida leaving Seattle with a family of 4 is not so cheap. Glad I was referred by a colleague of mine to Horizon. They actually gave us a package deal to alleviate some of the cost thankfully. The job only gives so much for relocation nowadays. They wrapped all the furniture and boxes up my TVs. I did all packing of my boxes and clothes to help with cost. Seem to have misplaced one of the cushions to the sofa but other than that fairly smooth process. They follow up with you quite a bit, annoying at times but I guess better than the contrary from what I’ve been told. Thanks again for a smooth transition.

Just really need to thank the folks at Horizon. With this whole Coronavirus ordeal, my original movers canceled on me day of the move, I had called back Will, wish I would’ve just went with my gut instead of cheapest price but when you have a family it’s tough. Anyhow, they were the following day, thank the good Lord! Y’all were such a blessing. Even sprayed and sanities everything down with all that’s going on they went above and beyond I must say. It all turned out well. They moved a family of 4 home pretty effortlessly and efficiently, nothing major. Thanks for getting our stuff to Texas in one piece.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4397

Salesperson grossly underestimated our costs. They demand payment of 1/3 up front in a nonreversible cash transfer. When the truck arrived (8 hours late) the driver said it would be nearly twice as much. Salesperson said one crew would load our goods into one truck with only our goods and drive it to our destination. Instead, one crew loaded very carelessly (took them two days), the goods were combined with those of other households, and another crew drove and unloaded. Said delivery would be in 2-3 days. Took nearly two weeks. They broke some of our furniture and artglass. After hooking you with the initial deposit, they are bullies about the money. They do not return your calls to keep you informed. They lie about what they will do and when they will do it. Do not use!

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $18750

As soon as they got my deposit, they would not return my phone calls, text messages or emails. I had to contact a new van lines to complete my relocation. I was contacted the day of my scheduled move by a company who Horizon sub contracted too. He was letting me know he would be arriving to load the next day between 4 and 5 PM. I questioned that because my new moving company confirmed they would be arriving that same day between 8 and 9 AM. I had not heard anything from Horizon Van Lines for 3 weeks prior to the move date. I am seeking legal action.
